About Icons Review

Icons Review is maintained by an independent software developer, who spent a good deal of time searching for icons, and was frustrated with the low quality of most icon collections. There are an enormous number of icon collections on the internet, but finding the good collections is like looking for a needle in a haystack. This site was designed to make finding those needles a lot quicker.

Many software developers find they are much better at writing code than designing icons. Fortunately, a large number of websites have sprung up to meet this need, both free personal collections and commercial companies.

Unfortunately, out of this enormous number of stock icon collections, only a few of them are both 1) of very high quality, and 2) contain enough icons to cover a large application without having to have many icons custom designed. It is important to have most of your application or website covered by the stock icon collection you purchase, because the cost of custom-designed icons can quickly add up.
